Can we combine this with the wiki book request I put for Electrical and Electronic Engineering?

"this" what? "the wiki book request I put" where? If I knew what exactly you were asking, I might be able to give good advice.

I've merged a number of half-books and book stubs into the new Embedded Systems book. Among these are the books:

  • Microcontroller
  • Embedded Systems: Theory, Implementation and Design
  • 8051
  • The 8051 Microcontroller
  • PIC
  • Embedded Systems Design

In general, I think this is probably a good thing.

However, whoever wrote this module (Wikiversity:Embedded System Engineering) seems to think that the bulleted items

should all be separate books, although Whiteknight has now moved 2 of them (and pieces of what I considered to be parts of a third -- Robotics: Computer Control: The Interface: Microcontrollers) into one book.

I'm generally in favor of leaving it all together in one big book, until it becomes so huge that we feel it would be good to split it up. (CommunityWiki:BigBucketsFirst) --DavidCary 04:47, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Some recommended books and magazines on robots, embedded systems, and electronic design are listed at http://iguanalabs.com/books.htm . Are there any major topics covered there that we don't already cover in Wikiversity:Embedded System Engineering ? --70.189.75.148 15:11, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The items listed above are wikibooks, not wikiversity courses. Robotics is a separate book, as well as Electronics and LearnElectronics. I don't think that any of these should be merged together. --Whiteknight(talk) (projects) 16:21, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
