Although water fluoridation may decrease dental caries in young children, this study does not examine the possible negative health effects of the fluoridation. Fluorosis should be considered within this topic. It is also important to note that the government is deciding and regulating the amounts of fluoride added to the water. If everyone would only benefit from the process then you would think that people would vote yes to fluoridation if given the choice but the truth is that most people do not want to receive medication that is not controlled through their water source.
