This is a work in progress. I have to split but will finish tomorrow.

Have you seen this?--Rayc 02:02, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This looks interesting! Is there a radio link between the robot and a controlling computer or a serial cable? Mirwin 02:10, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's connected via serial port. There are many options on where to go from there. They make radio serial connectors so you can make it radio controlled if you want to. Blue Tooth also has a serial over Blue Tooth option. My friends and I used it to emulate a Null Modem so we could play the old Master of Orion II head to head. For this set up, I run the serial and power over standard CAT-5 cable. I should add that to the how-to since it cuts back on the number of wires you need by a whole bunch. Should I move the Nerd-cam how-to to its own page and build a page like the one suggested by Rayc here. I don't want to replicate the page already at: this, but we should have a portal I think here. Maybe we should make this page more technical and hands on, and suggest that this should be more theory? Comments?
