Definition of an estuary
[edit source]- Estuary - Partially enclosed coastal area at the mouth of a river where its freshwater, carrying fertile silt and runoff from the land, mixes with salty seawater.

Productivity Note
[edit source]- temperature and light and rainfall - support high productivity in biomes like temperate forest
- interaction with land and water lead to good productivity
- taiga isn't as productive as temperate forest because of the cold temperatures and sunlight
