                                  MATTER
Matter is something which has mass and occupies a certain space. (Examples: Bench, water.)

STATE OF MATTER The state of matter has been mainly classified into

            1 .Solid state
            2 .Liquid state
            3 .Gaseous state
            4. Plasma

Properties of state of solid

 SOLID STATE
        1. It has definite fixed shape
        2. It has definite fixed volume
        3.It occupies space.
        4.It cannot be compressed.
        5. The particles are arranged so closely. The force of attraction is strong in nature.

LIQUID STATE

       1. It doesn’t have the fixed shape and it occupies the shape of the container.
       2. It has definite certain volume.
       3. It occupies space.
       4. It can be compressed.
       5. The particles are slightly packed so the force of attraction is medium in nature.

GASEOUS STATE

      1. It doesn’t have any shape.
      2. It has volume.
      3. It occupies space.
      4. It can be compressed.
      5. The particles are loosely arranged .so the force of attraction is weak in nature.
