The Solar System comprises the Sun, and the collection of objects that are gravitationally bound to it. This includes: the planets, their moons (or satellites), asteroids, comets, the Kuiper belt, the Oort Cloud and interplanetary dust.

Stellar astronomy is the study of stars and the phenomena exhibited by the various forms/developmental stages of stars in relation to prestellar nebular dynamics (e.g., the work of Stu Weidenschilling and other presolar nebula theoreticians).
