Cover art for Snapshot journal


Cover photographs used on the first two editions of Snapshot were submitted by La Trobe University photojournalism students/graduates.

Submitting cover artwork for consideration[edit | edit source]

La Trobe University students may submit artwork for consideration for use on covers of the journal.

Requirements[edit | edit source]

Artwork must be submitted in JPG or GIF format, in medium-to-high resolution (minimum 400 x 600px). Contributors must agree to publish their work under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence or Creative Commons Attribution No-Derivatives 4.0 licence. Contributors will be asked to agree to these conditions during the submission process (see below). Read more about the Snapshot journal submission terms and conditions.

Artwork can be published in either landscape or portrait format.

Submission process[edit | edit source]

Cover artwork contributors should follow submission procedures for authors.

  1. Register as an author
  2. Upload work (in JPG or GIF format), under Cover Art section

Once registered and logged in, read through the submission checklist and copyright notice thoroughly before agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Selection policy[edit | edit source]

Cover art will be selected according to its relevance to the theme of any given edition of the journal. If selected for publication, student artists will be expected to apply the Snapshot cover template (Photoshop) to their work. Read more about Snapshot selection policies.
