Observation: Romanian language doesn't have “noon”

Bună dimineața - Good morning

Bună ziua - Good afternoon, literally means Good day

Ziua bună - Inversion of the previous greeting

Sărut-mâna, Săru-mâna! - polite, formal greeting to a woman (literally translates to ((I) kiss the hand)

Bună seara - Good evening

Noapte bună - Good night

Salut, Bună - Hi/Hello

It is similar to the way it is written in French, but the letters are pronounced (instead of having a silent t).

Bine ați venit - Welcome (2nd person plural)

Bine ai venit - Welcome (2nd person singular)

Bine ai revenit - Welcome back

Felicitări - Congratulations

Bravo! - Bravo!

La mulți ani! - Happy Birthday

Mulțumesc, Mersi, Mulțam - Thank you

Cu plăcere - You are welcome

Hristos a Înviat! - Christ is risen! (Orthodox Christian greeting during the 40 days of Easter)

Cristos a Înviat! - Christ is risen! (Catholic Christian greeting during the 40 days of Easter)

Adevărat a Înviat! - Indeed He is risen! (response to the Easter greeting)
