Increasing sequence

A real sequence (xn)n is called increasing, if xn+1xn holds for all n, and strictly increasing, if xn+1>xn holds for all n.

A sequence (xn)n is called decreasing if xn+1xn holds for all n, and strictly decreasing, if xn+1<xn holds for all n.
