Gustable 01:41, 9 November 2007 (UTC) - I have built up a Statics course. Now dynamics needs it. Also I will be working on Fluids. Please use categories. Strength of materials for example has a repeat of the lecture on vectors. Other departments want to share this information.
- Beyond that I have a few questions:
- Should each subject below a division of applied mechanics be an individual course or a department. I believe that the resource "namespace" (simply the name of the course in the url) is most appropriate however, the "Topic" namespace is what is used in the lists below the divisions. Input is appreciated.
- Is there any concern that Applied mechanics has not been well melded with physics?

- My current feeling, after a few months of playing around with the structure of the applied mechanics division, is that each subject should correspond to a course. However, some of the courses in a particular subject area may be introductory, others intermediate, and some advanced. At this point I feel that all possible content in a particular subject area should be put into a course page which can be divided into introductory, intermediate, and advanced sections.
- Not many of today's students of physics study applied mechanics. Most applied mechanics departments have been absorbed into mechanical engineering/civil engineering. So I don't think that's necessarily a concern. However, better linking is always welcome.
