  • Fáilte go dtí Roinn na Gaeilge

Irish (Gaeilge) is a Celtic language of the Goidelic branch spoken in Ireland. Although once spoken across the whole of the island, it is currently a minority language. It is the national and first official language of the Republic of Ireland, and an official language of the European Union. It is also an officially recognised minority language in Northern Ireland.

The aim of the department is to help people who are interested in learning Irish. If there is anyone else who wants to help create related projects and things, please add your username to the list below. You can start the learning process at the coordinating page: Irish.
