Poetry/Practice/The Fool

~Mephisto, to Me and Us~

Look before me, to the shining soul
and see that for which my mind evades,
For which it seeks divorced of heart,
And in the shield of logic, finds a certain... selfish.... safety.

Look in that soul, look in thine self.
Is even your heart so soon forsaken?
Or in the trap that breeds but weakness,
Is there, maybe, strength?

For flawless logic failed to account,
Failed to take in mind.
A thing both wise and widely known,
To those who know their kind:

To know that for all his Faults, the Fool can stand
And aid in the aid of a helping Hand

Good Fool... Remember:
“Omnia vincit amor”
