Neurodiversity Movement/Project interaction with video streamers

In this experimental sub project interaction with other human beings part of the Neurodiversity movement is the main goal. That can include experiences, questions and answers. You are encouraged to change the wording of this resource to improve it. Please give this resource time. There is a plan that on the next Tuesday(19 March, 2024, it is very likely this is going to happen), there is going to be some activity here, real interaction or questions to help a person know how to interact with a person and when it is ok to do varous actions, ie. noting down experiences. Questions like these might help ie. 1. Does this person seem to be interested in interacting with me? If not, then it may be a good idea to not make public notes. 2. Is this person interested also in Neurodiversity or only in Autism, or only in Dyslexia or only in a,b or c? If not, maybe no relevancy to this project can be made, thus no reason to make notes. 3. Does this person seem uncomfortable with the questions I am making? If yes, thank them for their time, wish them a continued good time, don't make notes, and continue to the next streamer. 4. Is this person ok if I make notes on Wikiversity about my interaction? If yes, thank them for their time, wish them a continued good time, don't make notes, and continue to the next streamer.

Communication is a lot about judgement, respecting people and making sure the communication is also respectful and that we also respect their personal space. Learning from this resource could also potentially help in improving one's communication if done in a systematic way, is the hope.

So please have patience with this resource. It is developing.

It is up to the judgement of each learner whether or not they will note down their experiences, questions or answers after interacting with people. At all times we must respect the human we interact with and we should perhaps be first interested in their goals before we push/talk about our own.

The first goal is to find out best practice for interacting with people part of the Neurodiversity movement on social media and video and streaming sites, for the proper respect, things to think about before interacting etc. as long as this best practice doesn't go to the extreme causing the learner anxiety. Part of any goal of course is to make this resource useful, so improving how this page is expressed is part of that goal.

This resource is related to Neurodiversity Movement/Project awareness with video streamers in that both proj. The reason this experimental project was started was because just making another person aware of the Neurodiversity movement might not be enough as a reason to communicate with another human being. Trying to encourage people in general to do something in general might not be the best approach. What matters is that we listen to individuals, we learn what they'd like to talk about or interact about.

Some of the things from Project awareness with video streamers could be useful here too even though it could be seen as trivial whether one says hello or not. Humen use to greet others to get another person's attention and to learn more about them.

What really matters is that we respect the humen we interact with.

== Recurring questions ==, This section can have questions and the reason or motive for the question, like what are we interested in knowing. ,,,,,,,

  • Is it ok if I ask about your Twitch tag/tags?

This question is used when a streamer uses the "autistic" or "neurodivergent" Twitch tags, one or a combination of them. The streamer might ask what I'm interested in asking about the tags. The follow-up question might be: - Your autistic and autism tags / Your autistic tag / Your neurodivergent tag.

Separate questions:

If the streamer uses autism or autistic Twitch tags, questions:

  • Have you ever seen the hashtag or concept "actually autistic"?

This question is asked to learn if the streamer is familiar with ie. the hashtag used in social networks "#actuallyautistic"

  • Are you interested in the topic of autism?

A very general question if they are interested. This may be asked to people who use the autistic/autism Twitch tags to learn if they are interested in the topic. Could be seen as a personal question, so maybe could cause streamers who don't trust the viewer to answer.
