TRILO'RIS. A hybrid word, half Greek and half Latin, which means, literally, furnished with three thongs; but it is used to designate a garment brocaded with a triple set of ornamental stripes or other pattern, termed paragundae, as explained under that word. Aurel. Vopisc. 46.
