PLUMA'RIUS. One who followed the art of making plumae, as explained in the preceding paragraph (Vitruv. vi. 4. Varro. ap. Non. s. v. p. 162.); but as the real nature of those ornaments is yet undecided, it is impossible to declare in what precisely his art consisted.
