OLLA'RIUM. A niche in a sepulchral vault, in which a cinerary olla was deposited (Inscript. ap. Fabretti, p. 13. No. 60.), mostly in pairs, like pigeons in a nest, whence also termed columbarium. The illustration (Ollarium/1.1) represents two niches, each with a pair of jars in it, from a sepulchre near Rome.
