LICIATO'RIUM. The rod upon which a set of leashes (licia) were fastened in weaving (Vulg. 1. Kings, 17. 7.), similar in use and purpose to the heddles of our weavers. The illustration (Liciatorium/1.1) shows two leash rods upon the primitive Icelandic loom referred to by Scheffer, Index R. R. Script. s. Tela.
