FOR'ICA. A set of public privies, like the cabinets d'aisance of Paris, distributed in various parts of the city for the convenience of the population. A small fee charged for the accommodation, together with the profits arising from the sale of the contents, induced individuals to take such premises on lease, as a means of gaining a livelihood.
