DORMITO'RIUM. A dormitory, or bed-chamber (Plin. H. N. xxx. 17.); which appears to have been generally small, and scantily furnished, as shown by the example (Dormitorium/1.1), representing the interior of Dido's bed-room, from the Vatican Virgil.
