CORRIG'IA (ἱμάς, σφαιρωτήρ). A shoe-string and boot-lace (Cic. Div. ii. 40.); which were sometimes made of dog's skin. (Plin. H. N. xxx. 12.) The examples (Corrigia/1.1) are from Pompeian paintings.
