CIRCULA'TOR. A strolling juggler, or mountebank, who goes about getting money by showing off tricks and sleights of hand (Celsus, v. 27. 3. Apul. Met. i. p. 3.); or with trained animals (Paul. Dig. 47. 11. 11.), as shown by the annexed illustration (Circulator/1.1), from a terra-cotta lamp.
