BUBI'LE (βόαυλος or -ον). A cow-shed, cow-house, or stall for oxen. (Phaedr. ii. 8. Cato, R. R. 4. Columell. i. 6. 4.) The illustration (Bubile/1.1), which might almost have been sketched from a modern farm-yard, is copied from a miniature of the Vatican Virgil.
