AQUIMINA'RIUM, AQUIMINA'LE, or AQUAEMANA'LIS. A jug from which water was poured over the hands before and after meals. It was accompanied by a basin to receive the water as it fell from the hands, so that the two together would answer to our "basin and ewer." Varro, ap. Non. s. v. p. 547. Ulp.
