AERU'CA. A bright green colour artificially made to imitate the natural verdigris (aerugo) which bronze acquires by age. Vitruv. vii. 12. Compare Plin. H. N. xxxiv. 26., who describes the different processes for making this colour, but which he terms aerugo.
