General Information
China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a country in East Asia. Standard Chinese, a variety based on the Beijing dialect of Mandarin, is the national language of China, having de facto official status.It is used as a lingua franca between people of different linguistic backgrounds.In addition, there are as many as 292 living languages in China.
