Gameplay

[edit | edit source]

Players attempt to control a penguin to fly as far as possible. The object is to flying at a high-altitude for a long time, and far distance. This gives points to players, and players can gain a lot of points by completing achievements at each level. The points give money that is used for upgrades to achieve the goals. The goal is to reach 6000 ft. in the shortest amount of days. Once players reach a goal, players can continue playing to see how far the players can fly.[2]

Controls and Upgrades

[edit | edit source]

Learn to Fly has three main control buttons. [3]First, the right arrow key is used to adjust the angle of the penguin downwards. Second, the left arrow key is used to adjust the angle of the penguin upwards. Third, the spacebar key is used to activate the rocket which uses fuel. Also, this game has many upgrade functions. To start with there is ramp height, which will increase the height of the starting base, so the penguin flies at high-altitude when it starts. Next, acceleration makes the smoother, so players start faster. Also, lower air resistance makes the penguin fly for a longer time. Also, it is helpful if players have a glider which increases time while players can fly in the air. Lastly, a rocket allows the penguin to get a boost when players need it, and increases the penguin's speed. Finally, more rocket fuel increases the time that the rocket can be activated.
