English: Yajnavalkya Ashram was the institution of the Vedic sage Yajnavalkya in the Ancient Mithila University. It is located at Jagban village of Madhubani district in Mithila region of Bihar state, India. Yajnavalkya was the vice chancellor of the university of the ancient Mithila around 8th - 10th century BC (Treta Yuga). King Janaka of the Ancient Mithila Kingdom was the Chancellor of the university of the ancient Mithila. The headquarter of the university of the Ancient Mithila was at the court of the King Janaka in Mithila.
हिन्दी: याज्ञवल्क्य आश्रम प्राचीन मिथिला विश्वविद्यालय में वैदिक ऋषि याज्ञवल्क्य की संस्था थी। यह भारत के बिहार राज्य के मिथिला क्षेत्र में मधुबनी जिले के जगबन गाँव में स्थित है। याज्ञवल्क्य 8वीं-10वीं शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व के आसपास प्राचीन मिथिला विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति थे। प्राचीन मिथिला साम्राज्य के राजा जनक प्राचीन मिथिला विश्वविद्यालय के कुलाधिपति थे। प्राचीन मिथिला विश्वविद्यालय का मुख्यालय मिथिला में राजा जनक के दरबार में था।
