Description
Español: Vista panorámica del lago Umayo y del sitio funerario de Sillustani (véanse las 2 torres en la parte derecha). Sillustani es un cementerio pre-inca con tumbas (chullpas) construidas sobre la superficie en estructuras similares a torres, donde se encuentran los restos mortales de los nobles. El sitio lo construyeron los Aymara, que fueron conquistados por los incas en el siglo XV.
English: Panoramic view of the Lake Umayo and the Sillustani burial ground (see the 2 towers on the right). Sillustani is a pre-Incan cemetery with tombs (chullpas) built above ground in tower-like structures housing the remains of nobles. The place was built by the Aymara, that were conquered by the Inca in the 15th century.
Polski: Panorama jeziora Umayo oraz cmentarzyska Sillustani (dwie wieże po prawej) w Peru. Sillustani jest przedinkaskim miejscem pochówków, na którym stawiano nagrobki w kształcie wież (tzw. chullpas), w których umieszczano szczątki zmarłych szlachetnie urodzonych. Cmentarzysko zostało założone przez Ajmarów, którzy zostali podbici przez Inków w XV wieku.
