Week 1 Activities[edit | edit source]

Two rubber band models guns were designed are partially constructed out of Lego pieces. The first was a crossbow that fires projectiles and has a simple trigger system. The second was a pistol that shoots multiple rubber bands at once and has a similar trigger system to the crossbow.

Week 2 Activities[edit | edit source]

The two guns were improved on by getting more than one rubberband to fire and improving the base of the gun to allow easier way to hold the gun when firing and reloading. Another prototype was made at home using spare lego pieces that allows a different way to fire rubberbands.

Week 3 Activities[edit | edit source]

Many sketches were made by team members for proposed designs for a new rubber band gun. The gear system was chosen by the group to be worked on and we made a prototype of a gun with a new trigger made up of wheels. It proved to be the most powerful and accurate of the three guns.

Week 4 Activities[edit | edit source]

All the guns were scrapped of extra pieces while maintaining usability, and were improved on to make them more appealing. The rifle was greatly improved on by increasing the power, allowing the rubber band to be winded up before firing. All the guns were also tested to compare the fire power of each.
