Amblygonite[edit | edit source]

The mineral was first discovered in Saxony (Germany) and named from the Greek amblus (blunt) and gonia (angle) because of the blunt angle between the cleavages. It is usually white or creamy, but can also be colorless, yellow, green, blue, pink and grey.
