EBP Clearinghouse/Resources/Exposure

From Wikiversity

Exposure is a process where one purposefully confronts situations or objects that cause distress (fear or anxiety). By repeatedly approaching feared objects or situations and staying in them for extended periods of time, one learned that the feared or negative outcomes will not occur. Exposure therapy is the most effective treatment for diverse kinds of anxiety.
