Mark Zuckerberg is an American computer programmer and the entrepreneur on the internet. He is the chairman and the head officer of Facebook. Zuckerberg launched Facebook on his Harvard dorm rooms at 2004. After that, Facebook introduced by other college campus.[1]
Early Life
[edit | edit source]Mark Zuckerberg was born in 1984 in White Plains, New York. He is the son of the dentist Edward Zuckerberg and psychiatrist Karen Kempner. He and his three sisters, Randi, Donna, and Arielle were brought up in Dobbs Ferry, New York about 21 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. Zuckerberg was raised Jewish and he was flourished as his own religion at the age of 13.[2]
Harvard
[edit | edit source]After he graduated in Exeter, he went to Harvard and launched Facebook. In his early years, he named a "prodigy" when he was in a computer class at Harvard. Then, he made a program called Coursematch that can make choices for his classmates and making good choices on their life. However, the program didn't go well in the beginning, he got a lot of complains because of those photos leaking without people knowing that existed in the internet.[3]
Career
[edit | edit source]He founded Facebook with other eight Ivy League schools and then moved to Palo Alto with his roommate Moskovitz and some of his friends. Also, he worked with students that are keen on learning for social media.
Philanthropy
[edit | edit source]In late 2010, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and the investor Warren Buffett had signed a compromise that called "giving a Pledge". It's sure that giving money and wealth to charity and help of the society. In the late 2013, he also partnered with a Bay Area Foundation to donate his company "Facebook" shares to charity.
Personal Life
[edit | edit source]He met his wife Priscilla Chan in his Harvard sophomore year and married each other two years later in 2012. In mid 2015, he and Chan announced to have a baby girl. Moreover, he renounced to his own religion of being an Atheist because of his family background.
