Nbtstat is a Windows command-line tool that displays NetBIOS over TCP/IP statistics. These activities will show you how to use the nbtstat command to display NetBIOS cache names and IP addresses.

  1. Start your operating system.
  2. Log in if necessary.

Activity 1 - Display Cache

To display NetBIOS cache names and IP addresses:

  1. Open a command prompt.
  2. Type nbtstat -c.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Observe the cached names and IP addresses.
  5. Close the command prompt to complete this activity.
