In this project each group will construct a museum based on a theme of your own choosing. The museum will house a collection reflecting the selected theme.


Project Documents: These are the tangible things you must have as evidence of your project research.

1. Introductory thesis that provides a rationale for your theme

2. Fifteen to twenty-five images that articulate your theme

3. Explanatory statements providing content relevant to each work and how the work relates to the overall theme

4. Title/author page

5. Bibliography

6. Dedication page


Artifacts: A catalog of the collection in the form of a hand-bound book(using Japanese stab binding). A podcast recorded to CD for inclusion with the catalog.

Format for Artifacts:

Page size: 8.5 * 11; vertical orientation

Layout: see handout given in class

Editions: Two master copies per group

Podcast: Select five of your images and use content to record rationale and background for including work.


Timeline:

11/19 By the end of the school day submit an e-mail to Ms. Davis containing a list of final images with thesis statement.

11/30 All catalog pages completed, printed, and sequenced.

12/13 Catalog bound and podcast completed

12/14 Book signing
