Name of Society: Cosmopolitan Club
Active Dates: 1852–1902
A exclusive social club where lively conversation was encouraged. The club was limited to 150 members but encouraged members to bring guests, especially those from foreign lands and its main topic of discussion was politics on any given day. The club had a strong artistic representations including, Anthony Trollope.
