Even in voluntary communities like Wikipedia or OS development some people contribute or play a role due to motivations more connected to third parties than the community itself, like corporate interests.

  • Support While private or for-profit initiatives find ways sometimes to be represented in Wikipedia articles for improving their prestige or traffic to their websites, in OS software this kind of alliances and interests tend to be more transparent. --Esenabre 20:18, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
