In this enquiry you will be required to develop a case study that centres around the upper limb. You will research and develop a written assignment based on the orthotic management of your case study. Following this the design and technical drawings (including force systems) for your device will be developed. You will then produce a cast (Plaster of Paris) and a Low Temperature Thermoplastic Wrist Hand Orthosis (LTT WHO) that are clinically appropriate to your case study and document the manufacturing process. You will undertake a fitting, complete a relevant outcome measure and critique of the device and document this. This material will be uploaded as per the timetable to your wikiversity page and you will present this during the last week of semester.
