Reg. Javascript[edit source]

In the quiz, it is given as 'Most browsers have different implementations since JavaScript has never been standardized'. I have doubts regarding this. Javascript is standardized with ECMA. According to Wikipedia, javascript is released in December 1995 and it is standardised in November 1996. Did different implementation come during this time or ECMA standardisation is not as strong as the W3C to have all vendors in sync?


What is the motivation for different vendors to have different implementation? Is difference in implementation very high only in javascript or with HTML and CSS as well? Few examples of it in the class will be good --Kandhasamy Rajasekaran (discuss • contribs) 13:36, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
