PASW vs. SPSS[edit source]

After SPSS Inc. sold the PASW to IBM. IBM renamed it back to "SPSS". It was only called "PASW" for about 3 months. Therefore I suggest we just stick to "SPSS" to avoid confusing everyone. Statlearn 09:26, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify, PASW was added to the name Statistics to help differentiate between the software SPSS and the company SPSS Inc. IBM acquired SPSS Inc in 2009 and decided to drop the PASW and use SPSS as a prefix for the suite of products in the portfolio. Bradhill14 (talk) 06:13, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
