Would the Grants-in-Aid of Research Program be of interest to people on this page?--Rayc 20:04, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Short answer: yes! CQ 20:08, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suppose a grant was applied for, and money was granted. Suppose we collaboratively wrote a grant application here at Wikiversity. How would this work on a Wiki? One person applies and they use the money and use Wikiversity as a medium for their research and a place for theoretical exploration? How is research distributed and collaboratively conducted when the research extends beyond the world of ideas, theory, math, and statistics? How are research funds distributed? How do we ensure proper use of the money, and see that it is used appropriately? Perhaps we should come up with policies or guidelines for best practices. --Remi 05:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent questions. I don't know all that terribly much about grants, so I'll leave the answering to others. The Jade Knight 11:32, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't either. That's why I'm here. I have a "real life example" of a project that hopes to be funded partially through grants and would like advice and help on how to a) search for grants, b) write a basic grant proposal, c) traverse the application process and d) follow through. -- CQ 20:08, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
