Learning from the Eclectic Evan

I hadn't heard of Mr. Ratliff until recently, but when I saw what he was up to, I went to work with tent, a tool being developed by the "espians" for OpenKollab and other groups. I was able to find and link a chain of references which I used to seed the Wikipedia article in a matter of minutes. Of course it was deleted within minutes because it had no copy. Since then, I have learned a lot about the eclectic Evan Ratliff and opened dialogues with all sorts of people who are following the experiment. Some are trying to find Evan (for the $5K reward) and others are helping him hide. The whole process is interesting, because it deals with trust metrics and Identity. Evan found in New Orleans

So Evan has been found. Now the article has to stand on merits other than the stunt, with the "experiment" and "clues" in past tense. It'll be interesting to see how long before the references are purged and refined to include only legitimate (encyclopedic) ones. CQ 01:33, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
