Data collection and analysis procedures[edit | edit source]

  1. The MAR-NET team takes contact to the Dean of the Maritime University
  2. One of the students is asked to be Coordinator
  3. The MAR-NET team meets with the Dean and the Coordinator (in Zoom) to inform and discuss about the project
  4. After agreement with the Dean, the class coordinator has the following tasks:
  5. Give the information to the class directly or via email
  6. The Coordinator gives his e-mail address to all in the class (if a Class Whatsapp group is not already established)
  7. If a Whatsapp group is absent, then each classmate send an empty mail to the Coordinator
  8. The Coordinator then sends the LINK with invitation to the electronic questionnaire to the class mail addresses
  9. First reminder send out after 1 week and second reminder after 1 more week
  10. After completion of the data collection, wait 3 weeks, before the Coordinator hands over the anonymous Excel file with the response data to the research team
  11. The research team analyses the data or instruct and help the coordinator to do this
  12. A short report of the data analysis is done and the Coordinator informs the class and the Dean
  13. A meeting with the safety organisation and the class representatives can be done
  14. The questionnaire round is repeated after one year
