Other Free Learning Resources
| Resource type: this resource is a collection of other resources. |
This project, formerly called the "Hunter-gatherers project", is devoted to compiling a list of Internet learning resources which are not part of Wikiversity and evaluating these learning resources. All users, registered and unregistered, are encouraged to help assess these materials and to participate in discussions about how to integrate them into courses of study. These are important tasks and essential aspects of Wikiversity's purpose.

Moving Gnacademy.org content to wikiversity [edit]
I'm administrator of http://www.gnacademy.org/ The site has lots of useful information but is dormant due to the lack of community able to maintain it. I'd like to move the content of that site onto wikiversity. There is wiki material on distance learning and a course/degree database. The wiki stuff can be moved easily. The database is harder to move, and could be part of a wikidata project.

YouTube hunting [edit]
YouTube hosts millions of videos, some of them educational. While they may sometimes disappear, it would be good to start finding videos that would be of interest to wikiversity participants, such as lectures and educational demonstrations.
YouTube learning project: Here you will find a listing of Wikiversity-related entries, some of which were created by Wikiversity participants. Eventually the learning project will provide tips and tricks for browsing, developing content and uploading to YouTube.
YouTube EDU launched in March 2009
