Summary[edit | edit source]

This is a Keck adaptive optics image of TYC 4110-01037-1 in K′. A faint candidate tertiary companion (indicated by the arrow) with red colors that is separated by 986 ± 4 mas from the primary star. If it is physically associated with the primary, it is most likely a dM3-dM4 star. The companion is designated MARVELS-3B.

Fair use for solar binary[edit | edit source]

To illustrate the subject in question (TYC 4110-01037-1 and MARVELS-3B), since no picture can be obtained of the actual TYC 4110-01037-1 and MARVELS-3B in natural color as it occurs in the Galaxy.

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

  1. it is a scientifically significant image of TYC 4110-01037-1 and MARVELS-3B from an Earth source;
  2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality),
  3. the photo is only being used for informational/educational purposes.
  4. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows TYC 4110-01037-1 and MARVELS-3B to the general public.
