What is Mediawiki?
[edit | edit source]Mediawiki is piece of open-source software developed for wikipedia.
It provides an archive (history) of each wikipage, so that:
- There is a record of every previous version of the page
- Errors can easily be reverted.
- Each persons contribution can be recporded in line with intellectual property licensing which covers Wikimedia projects
- Let's check the Mediawiki on wikipdeia.
- Katrina PeopleFinder Project as an example of a project using Mediawiki.
