  1. On the 27th of September I made a social contribution on another chapter, suggesting a specific journal article which looked at normalization theory. I suggested this because I thought it would be useful to their topic of motivation for underage binge drinking.
  2. On the 5th of October I made another social contribution chapter which was looking intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation. I noticed that the author was yet to look at Deci and Ryans (2000) taxonomy of motivation, and knew that this would be a vital starting reference for such a chapter.
  3. On the 11th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle forum by helping another student with suggestions of how to reduce her word count, structuring the chapter a little differently to help with flow and suggesting that she include Eysenck's theory of personality if applicable to her topic.
  4. On the 11th of October I made another social contribution on the Moodle form by making some suggestions about the future direction of a students chapter, such as including appropriate visual aids, listing relevant popular media examples and suggestion if there were some positive aspects to amygdala hijacking that had been discussed in the literature.
  5. On the 12th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle forum by looking over the book chapter "school belonging motivation" and providing feedback. I suggests using some better linking sentences to link some concepts back to the main theory, as well as keeping the structure of the chapter consistent by using dot points for the disadvantage section as well as the advantage section. I also suggested adding some pictures.
  6. On the 13th of October I made a minor social contribution on the Moodle forum, helping a student with the formatting of boxes and tables in their book chapter.
  7. On the 13th of October I made another social contribution on a peers book chapter, by suggestion the use of syntax to make sure the second line of their reference list was indented - in order to comply with APA convention.
  8. On the 14th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle form by looking over a peers chapter. I suggested looking into whether treatment adherence was effected by self efficacy and suggested a journal article on the topic. I also made some slight editing changes to comply with correct APA formatting.
  9. On the 15th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle forum by suggestion some varying perspective on content to a student who asked for feedback. I suggested looking at the personality traits involved in risk taking, as well as clarifying the direction of the relationship between perceived behavioural control and motivation to use doping substances
  10. On the 17th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle forum by making suggestions on how a fellow student could improve her chapter. I suggested looking at education and awareness raising as a way of motivating self managment of chronic illness, as well as suggesting using self determination theory to explain why some people are more motivated than others, and linked her an articles on using SDT to smoking cessation. I also suggested looking at preventative health care as a motivational factor
  11. On the 20th of October I made a social contribution on the Moodle forum by helping a student with building chapter content. I suggested making the distinction between regret and other similar emotions, such as disappointment, to help give the chapter more focus as well as suggesting looking at the comparison between the ideal self and actual self. I also questions whether end of life regret serves any evolutionary function - why do humans experience it. I also made some minor editing suggestions.
