The Specs on the Best PC on the Face of the Earth

1. Motherboard

- AMD's Athlon 64 FX is the best of these at the moment, and currently a better bet than Intel's expensive Pentium 4 Extreme Edition. Realistically, these high-end processors are for the hardcore gaming PC user only, as you really pay through the nose to get them.

2.Processor

- AMD x86_64 Opteron Six Core 2600 MHz and Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition. If you want the best of the best, this is it. The Core i7-980X is a 6-core, 12-thread, 3.33GHz monster of a CPU. Produced with 32nm process and with its multiplier unlocked, it’s also ready for some serious overclocking.

3. Memory

- Kingston 2400MHz DDR3 'World's Fastest Memory' Kingston's speedy HyperX dual-channel DDR3 memory kit (given the charming model name KHX2400C9D3T1K2/4GX) has Intel' XMP certification on the Core i7 platform.
