1 What are MMOGs and how do they differ from regular video games?

Answer: MMOGs was also called Massively Multiplayer Online Games. This kind of games is invented to play only on the internet and in the virtual world. Nowadays MMOGs are not only available in Personal Computers but also in other Game consoles such as PS3, PSP and X-Box. The main difference between MMOGs and normal video games is that in the persistent world, people can play and compete with anybody from all over the world.

2 Would there be stresses in living in a virtual world?

Answer: In my opinion, it depends on players’ personalities. In MMOGs, players are allowed to do anything they want to do, for example they can fly across the sky and they can also buy luxurious things which are impossible to buy in the real world. As a result, people can be satisfied by playing and enjoying life in MMOGs. On the other hand, this kind of games can easily put the pressure on players. There will be many hard quests and complicated requirements during playing the games, and then people who can’t reach their targets will be stressed and unsatisfied. Eventually, the mental and physical illness will affect your health.

3 Look at e-bay and see what is being sold from secondlife and other on-line game forum. Is the economy from these games real?

Answer: Almost everything in the game can be traded for real money such as lands, costumes, characters, knowledge (play guilds), and so on. According to Second Life website, money in the virtual world is able to exchange to real dollars legally. This game allows players to start their own businesses and manage by themselves, so people can make profit and change it into real money. This means the economy from these games is absolutely real.
