What are descriptions?
[edit | edit source]Descriptions are verbal and visual representations of objects, mechanisms, and processes. (cf. Markel, p. 204)
The purpose of a description is to help your audience understand what a thing is for and how it is related to other things.
This is in contrast to Instructions, which tell the audience what to do with a thing.
