About this image

This is the solar system. This means everything flying round the Sun. The Sun is that flaming ball in the center. Other balls are planets flying around it on their ellipses. The first four planets are near to the Sun. We call them Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. The small ball near to the Earth is Earth’s Moon. Further from the sun, there is a belt of asteroids. Behind it you can see other planets, such as Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. There are also other objects such as comets and a minor planet called Pluto. By clicking on them you can get more information.
